THIS WEEKEND — The annual Seal Beach art festival includes about 100 photographers, painters, sculptors, jewelry makers and other artisans who will display their handmade creations in Eisenhower Park next to the Seal Beach Pier. I am exhibiting my photography at this end-of-summer-show. You can find me on the right side of the pier, facing the ocean. Bring your family and enjoy some great art at the beach!

This Sunday, September 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. San Clemente is holding its Village Art Fair along Del Mar Avenue, the main shopping street downtown. The Village Art Fair represents 60 artists of fine arts and crafts such as jewelry, ceramic, wood, metals, photography, hand blown glass and fused glass, handmade children’s clothing, and home and garden items just to name a few!
My photography will be on display in front of Gallery 104, located on the right-hand side of the street just before El Ranchito restaurant. I have some new work that I am really excited about that makes my photography come alive! My gallery wrapped photographs are coated with polymere — that shiny surface you see on bartops. This look gives the appearance of glass. My coastal seascapes look amazing! I hope to see you on Sunday.

You are invited to an Artist Reception at the Long Beach Art Gallery, located at 435 Alamitos Avenue in downtown Long Beach (see below for more details). My photography has been accepted for the “Summer” show. Artist Reception Details
George and I went to the OC Fair Opening Night last Friday to see all the winners of the photography contest. Out of the 3,774 entries this year (the most ever) 775 entries were selected for competition. Although our photos did not place, we are honored to share wall space with some truly amazing artists. Thank you all for your well wishes and I hope you will put the OC Fair on your list of fun events to do this summer. Don’t wait too long as the fair ends on August 14. My photos are the 2 on the bottom left: Diversions (a gazebo in the park at sunset) and Bridge to Sunlight (an old wooden bridge through the woods).

Two of my submittals were accepted for competition! Yeah! I’m meeting with the framer tomorrow and need to present the framed pieces to the judges on July 1. Wish me luck!

I finally submitted my “winning 3″ to the judges for this great photography event. I hope I make it through to the next phase, which is the physical stage (presenting framed images of my photos). Stay tuned…will know in a few weeks.
